Psalm 34:5 + Isaiah 60:2

“Those who look to [YHWH] are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

Psalm 34:5

As we memorize Psalm 34 together as a church, let this image aid your retention and understanding of verse 5.

Isaiah recalls this verse in one of his prophesies which states: “YHWH will rise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you” (Is 60:2). One of the ways the glory of the Lord is seen upon His people is when they look to Him during trial and are made radiant with blood-bought confidence in His goodness and sovereignty.

May He give us grace to do so more and more.
